Helping a felon get jobs
Q: I was recently committed to a behavioral center due to my personality disorder. I was aggressive towards my wife. Also, being bored with all the time in the world. In addition, I am a 2 time felon, which the felonies are 7-10 years old. Robbery in the 2nd, and UUW ( which was a steak knife). However, I am going through a hard time trying to fight a domestic case with my wife. And I feel that since I have been reading passages of the bible and trying to find my purpose in life. I can utilize my time and find a job. I need to support my wife. Currently I am on disability due to my personality disorder. Which that income goes to my lawyer. And my wife is struggling going to school and working full-time. Trying to make a way for us. I hate that she is overwhelmed and exhausted with this load. For, I wish I could take from her. I need your help! I am desperate. I have tried resources, going to fast food jobs. And I came across ur name when I googled ex offenders. Please help sir.God bless,

I am sorry you are having so much trouble. I see you are dealing with other issues that are impacting your ability to get a job. I often suggest to ex-offenders and felons who have multiple issues to contact the local United Way office. The Unite Way supports many organizations that provide diverse services. If you prefer a more faith based approach you may want to try your local Salvation Army. The Salvation Army could refer you to services that could help as well as provide spiritual uplift.
Often it is not just getting a job that ex-offenders and felons face.
